My goal this year is to make everyone in my family birthday cards. I’m always really spotty about who gets a homemade card because I end up trying to make one right before their birthday dinner or party. This year, I’m planning ahead, or at least trying to. I’ve done good for January and now onto February and March!
I was so excited when I saw the Abstract Cover-Up die by My Favorite Things. I couldn’t wait to make a card with it and I thought my sister in law’s birthday would be the perfect opportunity. I searched and searched Pinterest for inspiration and I found it in Natasha Kara’s card. I love the bright colors that pop off the page. Her card also has a Laura Bassen vibe and I’m kind of obsessed with her cards! I loved her card so much, I CASEd it. There wasn’t anything to change 😉
The “make a wish” sentiment is from Lawn Fawn’s Party Animal.
The unicorn is my niece Larkynn’s spirit animal, ha ha! When I saw these stamps, I knew I had to make her a birthday card with this cute unicorn! And of course, she loved it 🙂
I used Lawn Fawn’s Critters Ever After stamps and colored them with Copic markers. I also used Lawn Fawn’s Puffy Cloud dies.
I’ve been wanting to give the Lawnscaping Challenges a try for a while now. I love Lawn Fawn stamps and I use them all the time. I don’t know why I kept hesitating to join. When I saw that this challenge was watercolor and I thought “I can do that!” and then, of course, I froze, lol! It took me a little while to figure out what I was doing, but I finally settled on a design I liked and went with it. I really like the way it turned out.
For the background Lawn Fawn Gingham Backdrops stamped with VersaInk and embossed with clear embossing powder. I diecut “thanks” with scripty thanks and layered it with black and white cardstock. I smooshed 3 different distressed inks – Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberries and Peacock Feathers.
I hope you enjoy!
I made this cute little card for my nephew Jace. I haven’t seen him in a while and I thought it would be nice to send him a little something from Jeff and I and the boys. I hope he likes it!
I used Lawn Fawn’s Critters from the Past stamp set and Copic markers to color them in. I don’t have the dies yet, so I used the PixScan mat on my Silhouette Cameo to cut them out. For some reason, a few of the cuts were a little off, so I trimmed them up by hand. For the background, I used the Scenic Safari and Grassy Edges dies from MFT stamps. I used Salty Ocean Distress Ink to color in the sky. I’m still practicing using the distress inks! I had so much fun putting this cute card together!
